The Resilience Project

The role of our advocate is to provide consistent care and support services throughout the entire process, from initial contact to closure. We understand the importance of continuity in care and strive to ensure that our clients receive the wrap-around counseling and support they need every step of the way.

The Resilience Project serves as a beacon of support and a catalyst for change in the lives of victims and survivors of sexual violence, helping participants step into thriving and resilient futures. We have trained, licensed, and highly experienced advocates and therapist uniquely prepared to respond to crimes of sexual violence. We've established a 'hand-picked family' of partnerships with community-based organizations to ensure survivors have access to the full range of culturally and linguistically competent services.

  • Evidence-Based Therapy: Our program is grounded in cognitive behavioral therapy, a proven approach for addressing Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and promoting positive behavior change.

  • Victim Centered: At the core of our practice is a victim-centered approach to services that is accessible and appropriate for every individual seeking assistance. We have a significant overarching philosophy guiding our work, allowing our services to be tailored, specialized, and driven by the needs of individuals impacted by sexual violence.

  • Community-Based Advocacy: We provide comprehensive services before, during, and after a criminal case, including when there is no case at all. Our focus is on empowering and supporting anyone affected by sexual violence, with autonomy as the top priority.

  • Overcoming Barriers: We identify and overcome barriers that individuals may face in order to achieve a place of healing. This includes coordination across complex medical, dental, legal, financial, and housing systems that many survivors must navigate.

  • A Commitment to Our Community: We are committed to supporting all those impacted by the justice system, strengthening community safety, protecting the public from sexual violence, and building long-lasting partnerships between community service providers.
